Question: Ordering online shopping (amazon)?

Hey I was going to order a pile of horror films on Amazon but am confused about weather or not it is better to order them pre- owned or new. Which is cheap and/ or quicker? Also will they get to my house by next Saturday? (Need them by then for a Birthday)

Amazon orders usually ship the next day. i am on west coast and most of the time the orders come from kentucky i think. of course you can always order them shipped by two day mail.. i usually get them in 6 or 7 days. if you order used youre going to buy from people in different parts of the country so who knows. you misght sign up for a trail of Prime membership. it costs $79 a year but the trial i had iwas one month with option to cancel.. prime is great you get free two day shipping and dont have to wait to get $25 in mdse before they ship

You will probably get them faster if you order new, but you may get a slightly better deal if you order used. When you buy used from Amazon you are buying from a 3rd party, sort of like Ebay without the bidding. I have bought used a couple of times from Amazon and it just completely depends on how responsive the sellers is. I have gotten a few items very quick and I have had some orders come so late I was starting to doubt if they would come at all. Also keep an eye on the shipping charge. I can't remember whether or not Amazon regulates what the 3rd party can charge for shipping and handling.

You must pay attention to the seller on Amazon. New items can be sold by 3rd parties or by Amazon. Used items (in every case I have seen) are sold by 3rd parties. When buying from 3rd parties, shipping can be unpredictable. You can specify faster shipment methods for the 3rd party, but it does not guarantee a faster arrival. When buying from Amazon, shipping is generally fast. When you specify faster shipment methods for Amazon, the package will arrive faster. Cost of Amazon new items is usually good, but the cost of 3rd party used items is almost always the cheapest. You must also consider wear on used items. DVD and VHS wear can significantly decrease playback quality. Considering your situation, I would recommend buying new from Amazon and potentially using a faster shipping method just to be safe.
